Hey parents and family!

Another day has passed by. I can’t believe its already Thursday!

Yesterday was great. The morning teaching was done by Richard Gray and he shared with us how he was transformed by God. It was an amazing and powerful testimony of the work of God. Later, we played the games. There were 4 new games to play and since there are 8 teams, each team rotates playing 2 games a day. The games, like Monday and Tuesday, are messy and wet, but that’s what makes them so much fun. The first game was the Wet Hat Relay. That’s why all your kids are wearing construction hats with cups on their heads. The second was called Blind Chef. That’s why you see some kids wearing ketchup, chocolate syrup and Froot Loops on their faces. Another was the Tasty Cake Relay. That’s why you see a bunch of kids running with a pound cake. And then the last was the Sticky Spellers… without spelling. That’s why you see everyone with a diaper over their heads grabbing those play pen balls and putting them on the floor. I’d do each game over and over again. Another thing about the games is that you can see the unity in the teams and cabins continuing to develop. Everyone loves to sit and eat with each other, hang out with each other, and we’re just coming together as a group really well.

This unity was seen at its best at the night teaching. Like every year, Pastor Jose does an afterglow service on Wednesday night. Its a night of prayer with leaders and with each other, and worship. I started crying because everyone was actually singing and worshipping God. It was an awesome time. So many people came up for prayer and it was a great time to be with each other and help each other in our walks with God. Hopefully the words that were said will be put into action.

Then we played our game. The leaders humiliated themselves with a game they had to play themselves involving soda crackers, Sprite, and a song that repeated the words “Istanbul” and “Constantinople”. And then it was the teams turns. There was a relay where each player in a team had to down 4 Twizzlers. I stopped at 2 thanks to my reflexes… if you understand what I’m getting at.

Overall, it was a productive day. Physically, and more importantly, spiritually. We’ll see what happens today!

with much love,
Aimee
