Yesterday was great. The routine was the same, but God spoke so clearly. Devos were shared for the girls and boys separately by Dominique and Chris, Izzy did the morning teaching on how everyone can be redeemed by God no matter who they are and what they’ve done and Richard shared on faith, and what it means to have faith in God and truly trust in Him.
One thing really stood out though, and that was the afterglow service. It was a time of worship, and everyone was able to truly worship God and lay everything down at His feet and surrender fully to Him. There were tears, there was so much prayer going on, and these kids were worshipping God with all their hearts. The Spirit of the Lord was in our midst, and it’s something that never gets old.
Pray that the decisions made yesterday night, that the prayers of repentance and that the surrender to God would be true, would be sincere, and would change these kids lives radically. That God would continue to speak to them ever so gently and that He would reveal to them His perfect will for their lives. That He would comfort them and hold them and help them through everything that they’re dealing with. Pray that they would continue to be filled to overflowing with the Holy Spirit.
I leave you with these words from the song You’ll Come: “Chains be broken, lives be healed, eyes be opened, Christ is revealed”. May this be true in the lives of these kids. Amen.
