Finish the Race.

Today was the last day of camp. It’s sad to say, but at the same time it’s amazing what God has started and continued in the lives of these kids.

It started with a teaching shared by Tito about how God is our refuge and how He is our High Priest. Then was the mega game, which was really wet and soapy because of the slip-n-slide and everyone had a really great time. Afterwards, we had a baptism and 52 kids got baptized. It was a special baptism because a few of the leaders also got baptized. It was a sweet time with the Lord.

Then there was the night teaching, shared by Jose about continuing the work that God started here. As with every year, there is a tendency for us to return to our old ways because of habit, and Jose was able to encourage us to keep running this marathon with all our hearts, full force. We later had a bonfire which was a powerful time of worship and prayer. The kids were also prayed over and asked it they wanted the baptism of the Holy Spirit and many kids went forward to receive that.

In all, the Lord showed up like never before. He has broken chains, redeemed souls and spoken ever so clearly to the hearts of these kids. We expect that when we get back, we will be faced with harder trials and tribulations, but we also expect that God will give us a supernatural power to deal with it and continue fighting the spiritual war better and more prepared than ever before.

Thanks for praying for us and please continue to do so. Lord knows we need it (: Philippians 1:3-6.

with so much love,
aimee
